Hey all

I'm off to IOM tomorrow for a boozey weekend and to watch some nutters buzz around a road track. :) Anyone else out?

Having said that, much fun as it will be, already there has been a black cloud over this year's proceedings as one of the favourites crashed out and died in practice runs :( He was 30 - same age as me...

Let's hope the races go more smoothly, and that our group doesn't have to deal with witnessing anything too horrible...

I love most forms of motorsport, but white-knuckle as the TT is, it could really do without the spectacle of the injury and pain... but I guess then it wouldn't be the TT. Anyway finger's crossed...

i have a video of tony pond doing a lap of the tt circuit ,
and not dropping below 100mph at any point
not that remarkable ,i hear you say
but he does it in a rover 827!!

Enjoy the TT, I went when I was a boy, nothing else like it.

Outrageously dangerous, the Monaco GP (but worse), if someone proposed it today they'd be locked up.

If you're into motorsport generally, it's a pity there's no longer Lexus IS's in the touring cars or we could have gone longer to cheer them on.

Is it right that there's no speed limit in parts of the IOM?
