hi my friend has seen some alloy wheels for his corsa sxi on a 03 plate and like me he has no idea about offsets ect and had a question which i hope someone can help alloy wheels are 17's and the offset et is 35 i been looking on the cors forums and thay say should go for et 38-49 anyways he realy like these wheels and i thought spacers would these sort out the offset problem
thanx in advance for any help

Spacers wont sort out the problem because an offset of +35 will come out towards the arch 3mm FURTHER than an offset of +38 assuming the width of the wheels is equal. Whats the standard width and offset and the new wheel width and offset?

Unless the wheel is already close to the lip of the arch (which I beleive it won't be) then I can't see you having a problem. Nearly all aftermarket alloy wheels that look good have a much lower offset than stock.

I dont think these will fit anyway as a corsa pcd is 100 and most lex's are 5x114.3 iirc.

Gonna need something over 8.5j with an et lower than 20 to even start to fill the arches. (guessing something from a corsa will be around the 7j mark)

I read it as this chaps mate was looking at alloys for his Corsa??
Rory
I read it the same, just advice for his mate, not for the lex
