Can anyone tell me what lacquer they used on their calipers? Also where to get it?

I have had a look in the trusty Halfords but nothing seems suitable. Is their normal one ok?
Steve
touch up stick mate.. goto the touch up paint section and get the laquer from there... you only need a thin coat

have been near there though Steve, they have a section with a load of touch up packs. Look like they contain primer paint and maybe lacquer.

Didn't want to get the whole lot though. Just want a touch up lacquer pot! Mind you is that ok for calipers as they will get a little hot!!

Maybe I shall head down and have a closer look!! unsure.gif

I used high temp. Clear Cote from the big H, it was only about £4 for a big spray can ...... could do many cars with it ...

Right then, couldn't find the one you mention, so got Halfords Universal Lacquer. Says can be used on any paint, doesn't mention however, then temperature it will go up to.

Mind you the actual caliper won't get that hot!!

The worst that will happen is it will get discoloured and look pooh, in which case I shall have to rub it all off, get new stickers and start again! ohmy.gif

I bought some clear lacquer from Do-It-All.

Can't remember what it's called, but it's the only one they had for sale.

Approx £5
