Since buying my '96 GS-300 I have run it on Michelin Pilot Premacy tyres (225/55/16v). I have found these to be long lasting and reasonably quite, however technology moves on and the new Dunlop SP1's claim a very quiet ride.

My priorities are: 1. Quiet, 2. Ride Quality, 3. Long Life.

Anybody have any better ideas?

dunno about the ones you have tried, but on the IS, the bridgestone Potenzas are quieter than the Dunlops, though I prefer these as nice grip etc and look good. Not that that should be a high priority for tyres!!!!
