Has any one attempted to take apart a stock nav sys are there alot of wires attached?

Will a stock nav sys only be compatible with the car it came in or can you install it in another lexus is200 non sat nav.......

any experiences :lookaround:

The connections shouldn't be too bad as the connectors are pretty standard. I have a wiring diagram so connecting to the correct places both sides won't be that much of a nightmare really. You'll need to find a few extra feeds like speed sensor, speaker connectors, etc. Hopefully they will have left on the connectors and cut the cables.

Can't remember exactly right now, but I think the loom has 24 cables in all.

What you have to make sure is that you have everything. Off the top of my head :

The screen and motorised housing
CD unit itself
GPS receiver
controller unit

Not really nesessary but the armrest housing for it and the mountings for the drive.
