I have a 2000 GS300. I am having a serious electrical problem. When I turn my lights on, Dash Board lights including the digital message board and the cd/radio lights in the car goes off. The digital odometer light works fine always. As soon as I turn the lights off, they come back on. Has someone been through the same problem which could help me.

Maybe a problem with the auto-dimming circuitry?? - does anything happen when you try to dim / brighten the dashboard lights?

Do the syptoms change if you turn the lights on in daylight and opposed to night time?

no there is no problem with dimmer.. thats the first thing i checked.. when i dim the light its only dims the odometer light aswell as the dash board light if the main light are turned off, but when i turned on the main light the dash board light disappears.

no it doesnt make any difference.. when i turn the main lights on, the dash board lights go off.. no matter if its day or night.. they work all well unless and until i tuen the main lights on
