Just called esure to ask them what increase I could expect for the following!

Painted Calipers
Braided brake hoses
Strut brace

They said they would not be interested in insuring it!! Eh!

Then said how about the calipers - they said thats ok. Just as well, cos I've already done it!

Wanted o get the brake hoses done though - thats an improvement not a mod!!

Admin - (are you Steve, I thought so) did you get my PM about DIG insurance. Don't suppose they can do anything. Renewall with esure is £458 with £100 excess total, and the soon to be wifey on it.

unfortunately DIG were nearly 2x my renewal - dunno why, area good, car standard (pretty much for now!) and I am 27 with full NCD!

DIG are great for 'difficult' circumstances.. I have declared all my mods for NO increase in premium.. and apparently they are quite good if they need to increase it.

If you are planning on modifying your car, you should seriously consider them..

Just spke to a nice guy, think it must have been Dave. Unfortunately he cannot get it down any further. Its a shame cos I would really have liked to have gone with them, cover is good etc.

However, as I am not planning on modding the car much it will not be worth my while paying the extra £350 for insurance to get a sympathetic co.

I shall just have to keep car as is and live with it. Maybe next year. Can't be cheap for everyone I guess.
