Hi - I have had my stereo upgraded, only to find that my sat nav doesnt work!!!! Fitter didnt bother checking - Is it possible to upgrade stereo and also keep sat nav working???

i am definitely no expert, but surely you just plug the satnav into one of the inputs on the new stereo?

Wellll Let me tell you my experiance... i went to Oxford Audio with the same concern over will the stock sat nav still work if i upgrade to an aftermarket stereo.. Basically i couldnt.. and was advised i had a 1 in 3 chance of them getting a decent feed for the amps fromthe stock unit..
They removed the stock stereo and gave it to there man in the know, who managed to find an output to tap off from and haey presto, a Decent output for the amps to power the speaker upgrades. they also fitted the Dension Mp3 hard disk via an FM modulator into the stock unit. AND ive still got sat nav,

phoned lexus ( a couple of dealers) and it is not poss to upgrade stereo, with a sat nav - expensive way of finding out (£250) - so BEWARE. I have a lexus facia kit, so if anyone wants it let me know
