Got my Mk2 GS yesterday and was immedietly disapointed with the sound system ... turns out the sub isn't working!!!
It seems like the speaker is alright, as when I gently push up the cone from the boot, there is no rough/scratchy feeling, and there is zero sound coming from it.
Could someone please tell me where the amp for the sub is located so I can check for loose wire's etc, or can someone maybe tell me what the problem is?

Is it all plugged in at the head unit?

erm.... did you just ask yourself for more info on your own problem?

Problem solved!
Just finished stripping out the head unit etc and found the cause to the sub not working
The previous owner had fitted a Nokia hand's free unit, and after a bit of searching, found that the Nokia harness that takes the speaker output from the amp to the phone cut off unit had the 2 sub wires missing:uh: So just a matter of adding 2 new wires to the offending length of loom and VOILA!!!!!!!
