A family of England supporters head out one Saturday to steal their
Christmas shopping.

While in JJB Sports, the son picks up a Scotland football shirt and says to
his sister, "I've decided I'm going to be a Scotland supporter and I want
this strip for my Christmas!"

The sister is outraged at this, promptly whacks him round the head and says,
"Go talk to your mother." Off goes the unusually intelligent little lad,
with Scotland shirt in hand and finds his mother. "Mum." "Yes, son?" "I've
decided I'm going to be a Scotland supporter and I want this strip for my
Christmas." The mother is outraged at this, promptly whacks him round the
head and says, "Go talk to your father."

Off goes this little pearl amongst low life swine, with Scotland shirt in
hand and finds his father.

"Dad." "Yes, son?" "I've decided I'm going to be a Scotland supporter and I
want this strip for my Christmas." The father is outraged at this, promptly
whacks his son round the head and says,"No son of mine is ever going to be
seen in THAT!"

About half an hour later, they are all back in the stolen car heading home.

The father turns to the son and says,"Son, I hope you have learned something
today?"
The son turns to his father and says, "Yes, Father, I have'.
Father says,"Good son, what is it?"
The son replies "I've only been a Scotland supporter for an hour and I
already hate you English bas****s!" :P :D

Not wanting to cause an England/scotland argument..

But in the World cup... almost every England supporter was routing for Ireland as well, and if Scotland had managed to qualify, we would of supported them too.

If England got knocked out, but Ireland or Scotland carried on, every England supporter would be behind either country..

However.. in the last world cup... all i heard were the scottish complaining about to coverage of the world cup.. and how the English were 'up themselves' for supporting their team in the world cup...

Personally, I think the divide is caused by one side only...

Just my opinon...

 No offence meant by that joke - just a bit of Friday fun. :)

erm Ryan????? :duh:

We never claim to be good at any sports (especially the ones we invent!)..

But we are sportsmen... and respect the countries that make up this great nation, and their sporting achievements.. such as Wales, with Rugby....

Why the Scots & Welsh have such an issue with the English, I'll never know, okay a few hundred years ago, we may of taken your land by force, but ffs your getting it back, Scotland now has it's own goverment....

Surely this is all irrelevant ...

Everyone knows the Americans are the best at sports ....
Look at all the 'world championships' they win ...

You'll just have to overlook the fact that no other nations are invited to take part
Fidgits
Lets be fair Tony... their Baseball 'World Series' includes the Canadians.. :whistling:

Not shoddy excuses - we are actually getting very good at them now - esp. with all this practice ... :D

Oh come on we don't smell that much!!

As a Scot I can say that we are a very balanced nation - we often have a chip on both shoulders. :winky:

PS as we are all keen drivers here we also have the quietest roads to have serious fun on :P :P :P
