The front page of our local paper here in middlesbrough had a rather disturbing story on today.

"Leslie Clark, of Acklam, died when the black Lexus he was riding in collided with a green Audi on the A177 near Sedgefield" "The two cars collided, with each being sent off the road. The Lexus IS200 hit a tree in the central reservation, splitting the vehicle into pieces."

Thoughts go out to the family, who knows he could have been a member.

not like ours. this is y we have bigger bumpers
Monster-Mat
your crash bar is still hollow like ours, your is 10mm larger, with a 20mm thicker polystyrene pad

as European cars travel at greater speeds, i doubt the size of the crash bar makes a huge difference, considering that EURO NCAP testing is the most stringent in the world.

my thoughts also go out to the family and friends of everyone concerned

Very sad to hear that,  but you have to remember that most things you
hit will crumple or give way but unfortunately trees dont especially established
ones?Saw an accident last year on M26 early morning, peugeot 206 had a blow out
flipped car over spun in the air and a branch pierced the floor pan and went
through the drivers thigh.....survived but a couple of inches over could have
been a different outcome.
Monster-Mat
true Pj could have sorted his piles out(i know i know)
