I have just bought a 1994 ES300 'grey' import from Japan and have discovered 2 immediate problems which I did not find when I tested the car:
1. The cruise control only works up to speeds of 110 km/hr, it will not engage at higher speeds. Can this be adjusted?
2. The factory fitted radio only reaches 90.00 Mhz. Here in Hong Kong the only english language broadcasts are at 97.00 and above. Again, is there any way of adjusting this or does it mean a new ICE system?

wow i have never heard of a cruise control that hasa cut off
my canadian 94 runs and cruises at 140km no problem just sit back and steer
the radio would have to be replaced
try getting an american unit if they have the same frequency steps as you guys
you might just need to get a new cruise control ecu which may help check with the dealer

Jap Cars have a max limit of 112 so the cut off point would be due to Japanese speed restricitons....
There must be a way to de-restrict it I would have thought
