Hi

I see you have already picked up on the other post.

You need to get the battery checked 1st; a poor battery/poorly connected battery/incorrectly charged battery will produce a host of strange electrical faults. Once you know the battery is good you can then have the alternator tested. If the battery is duff there is no point in checking the alternator.

It is worth noting that an apparently flat battery will have some charge if left for a while.

The tests will usually be done free by a battery supplier.

Hi guys just an update turns out to be alternator at fault does anyone know the model of the alternator so I can order a new one before taking the old one out as not a lot of room to leave car on stands while I source one

Once again many thanks for all the advise and help to sort this problem

Hi I think the make is Nippondenso rated at 80A (Part # 27060-50190) but some models had the 100A version (Part # 27060-50200),there are normally some on Ebay for example.
Fitting the higher output one will not cause any problems.
