Hi,
anyone know what the red button with japanese writing next to the top of the auto shift stick is for?

normally overdrive, do you get a red OD or jap icon lightup on the dash when it's pressed/depressed ?

small red button next to gear stick with text is only to aid you when moving gear selector out of park with out the ignition on.


does not have anything to do with engine or gearbox performance

That's correct, instead of having to put your key in the ingnition to move the shift selector, just push the red button ( ho-er missus, not 007 ) and the shift selector will move into any postion when you press the clutch release button on the side of the selector
