I took off the passenger side kick plate, found the two wing nuts , took the cover off but the only thing inside was..well, pollen (and loads of other vegetation, see photo)
I'm assuming I've taken off the pollen filter cover (again see photo) and that someone has removed the filter for some reason.
Does that sound about right?

Yes that should be where the pollen filter is located,as you assume it has been removed and not replaced,probably because Lexus charge around £40.00 for them.
If you do get a replacement could you confirm if there are 2 filters or one as mine has 2 fitted.

I have a 1994 Mk 2 but I cant find anywhere in the handbook to say that I have a pollen filter fitted?
Do all LS400s have them fitted or is it only the later years or imported cars?
If there is a filter fitted to my car is it one or two and are they easy to fit ( I am not mechanically minded at all!!)
Does anyone know are they worth fitting and does it really keep out a lot of the pollen??
