Full Version: A Question Regarding The Peco Back Box
Lexus Owners Club > Lexus Models > Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 Club
Fidgits
When I had my Peco back box fitted, the tail pipe was centre to the 'space' in the rear lip.

However, when I got home, it was against the left side of the space, touching the skirt.

I went under the car, and found towards the front of the back box assembly that it is held by a rod through a rubber clip attached to the car.

I readjusted the exit by moving this rod futher into the clip, but after another journey, the pipe had once again moved against the skirt.

My question is, is there anyway I can move the pipe, and secure it so that it remains in the centre, and does not move when being driven.

Update

Went under the car again last night (and sneezed, which has resulted in a lump on the front and back of my head! )

On the original back box, the pins have 'stoppers'

-----------|/ Dodgy pic, but you get the idea

The Peco fitments a straight rods, and on either side are just long enough for the rubber clips. To get the exhaust in the correct position, you need the D/S rod to be approx 1cm out of the clip, however, during driving, this will slip back...

The only solution I can think of is sticky-back plastic (too much Blue Peter as a child?) but i will investigate and report back.

Try bending the rod forward/backward/or upwards to get the adjustment

:D

Strange that Ian - Are you sure it's fitted correctly as I never had this problem when I had my Peco.

I wonder if Mat Wild has the same problem (now that he has it)....?
MsW
Yup, he does....

But he's just left it there

Funny, they've both moved to the left

Will watch for any advice forthcoming
