Sometimes my rev counter doesn't work for the first hundred yards and then suddenly springs up! Doesn't happen often.

Yes it is a known fault,apparently the lubrication on the needle shaft can cause it,it's a case of taking out the dash,accessing the needle and using a cotton bud to soak up the excess oil off the needle shaft.

A hefty smack on the top of the dashbord cluster. :whistling:

That sounds slightly more violent that Steve's cotton bud remedy but thank you both. :driving:
