hi all,
I've just split my rear lights and painted the inside black, when I've tried to reseal them i used a black silicone sealant type thing and the problem is it isn't going hard! the lights have been clamped closed for like 2 days and its still really soft!
so my question is what have other people used to seal them up?
thanks Stix

In twno days it should have set. what did the instructions on the tube say?
There's various types of sealant available and some do stay tacky but you obviously need a setting one.

I've just re-read the tube and its a flexible roof and guttering sealant! oops! i just saw it was black and thought that'll do!
B&Q tomorrow then!

Hi folks.
The sealant to use for this type of project would be "Sikkaflex" I work in the boating industry and we use it all the time on all sorts of projects.
I hope this helps.
