I have a 2000 GS3 and I went to the mall today, when I press the lock button on my remote, all 4 windows rolled down and the sunroof opened. What happened? I just got the car, and it didn't come the owner's manual, so I thought I'd ask here.

That's supposed to happen when you press and hold "unlock"

If you press and hold the lock button all the windows and sunroof should close. Are you sure the unlock button wasn't stuck in or something?

have you tried it since?

Mine opens on unlock and closes on lock. But only if you hold the key down. it is accompanied by a short hi pitched beep on commencement. does your do this?

thanks for helping, I guess the unlock key was stuck down. I didn't have a manual, so I didn't know that my car could do that. lol

Yep - press and hold "lock"

When I press and hold lock, it turns on the Alarm. Anyone else's do this?

Yeah - it'll do that, but it'll also close the roof and windows (or should)

I actually meant the panick goes off when I hold down lock. Like, the horn honks loud over and over.

Maybe it's because I'm using a US remote.

These are all CBEST settings - get your dealer to change them back to the default settings

Are there anyway to cange those settings on my car without going to the dealer?.. Or will the dealer do it for free?

As far as I'm aware, there's no way to do it without going to the dealer - and there's no such thing as free in a Lexus dealer!
