Yeah, but I got a custom sized plate from a mate that worked in Ripspeed in the big H as a special order. Not sure if you can do that sny more as i got my plates years ago before they started doing plate regulations for MOT.

Fancy plates let you specify the size of the pates you want for both front or rear - after you've designed it, you can put in the dimensions you want - Maz (Tony) got a custom sized rear plate for the carbon-fibre trim I got him, like the one linked to the pics in my sig.

Not sure. As I had a jap bumper I just measured the gap then took 1cm off to give me a 5mm border around the gap. This was fine for me with my 5 letter reg and as my car is import I'm allowed to use motorcycle numbers.

The sizes I did my plates were:

Front: 250mm x 120mm
Back: 355mm x 180mm

Not sure if the dimensions are identical for the UK car (Bazza took off the front plate holder iirc and posted some pics), but you are meant to use full size letters on a UK car so make sure they fit before you order the plate.

There was a whole thread on this a few weeks back, and the lettering regulations are on the DVLA site.

Hi guys.. well i have my rear on small plate, but keep the front to standard cause of the number plate trim , the rear plate is 360mm x 170mm ( it only look good if you have a plate trim with it, see pic below....upto now i have no problems with coppers, as i used standard lettering and also included dealer name and post code....not sure if it ok when it come to MOT thus.... :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:
