Does anyone suffer the same as I'm experiencing?

Basically, have a blackberry bold 9700 connected to my Mark L system and when I receive a call there is a 3 second delay before any talking can take place after the call has been answered via the button on the steering wheel (display shows call connected and the connected timer starts going but I cannot hear them and they cannot hear me until 3 secs is reached!).

This happens with every received call; out going calls are fine.
