Just got a PS3, What is the best car driving games for the PS3? Anyone have any recommendations what to buy? Is Gran Turismo 5 worth getting? Also can i play online? Complete noob to gaming

GT5 is amazing in terms of realism, but I found the game really frustrating with all the different things you have to do to progress and stopped playing it. Will start again as I think it's a great game, but requires patience!
I really enjoyed Need for Speed Shift (although not everyone agrees) too

F1 2010 is a good game tbh, I have done 3 FULL seasons of full length race and the rest.

Forgot about that one! Yep I love it too, although I think being an F1 fan is probably a factor too.

I found NFS Shift pretty good for this, and GT5 really bad for this

Grid is really good on the pc but I dunno if there's a ps3 version.
race driver grid is really good on the PS3 i think F1 2010 is based on it but grid has different cars etc and a career mode, you can go on line as well

old block buster is good for renting this stuff to trial it.. their loyalty scheme allows me to get a free game after so many film rentals so I can have a play and see if i like the games first
