Hello guys,
can anyone source a 2004 rear n/s light. I have found it impossible. I have bought a couple on ebay and found them to be dark chrome finish and one of Japarts which is also dark chrome. I bought a new one from lexus and it is a matt finish however it is much lighter than the original it is matt silver rather than the bonze colour used originally.

As far as I know there is only one colour for those matt finish lights, is it possible your original one has just darkened over time?
What does your Lexus dealer say? Surely they will be able to get the right part number using the VIN for your car?

Hi Thanks for the reply. Lexus Belfast guy got my VIN and said there is only one part number available so he ordered another new headlight and it was the same lighter colour. They had another 04 navigator for sale and it had the same darker lights as mine. because he couldn't match the lights he brought down all the lights they had in stock including a set of black chrome altezza lights he offered to sell me these for the same price as one light because they could not match me a tail light! i wish i had of taken the offer. but i still want a matching headlight I've been trawling breakers and eBay for a year now.

My understanding is that there was only ever one shade of those matt finish lights, so it sounds as though perhaps manufacturing processes have led to it being lighter now (which sounds a bit stupid)
Might be worth trying to see if you can find a used one from a breakers that will match or otherwise you may end up having to swap both lights if the colour match is that bad.

theirs 4 colours of front and rear lights
the altezza had black ones with a blue tint to the reflectors
then you had the normal silver
then the black chrome
then the bronze
