Hello, I could not really find a topic about this so I decided to post one.

I also posted this kind of topic, not long ago, on the Mkiv Supra owners club, they didn't really seem to know much about it.

I'm looking to buy an IS300 soon and I want to swap 2JZ-GE engine for the stronger GTE engine. I want atleast 400RWHP and I don't think stock gearbox will be able to handle the power. So I may also have to upgrade the gearbox to the Supra Getrag 6 speed. I know this type of conversion isn't easy and I only know it's been done in the US. I was just wondering if anybody has had it done in the UK or do you know anybody who can do this type of conversion? How much am I looking at roughly (parts + labor)?

at least £10,000 if you want a built engine along with a getrag 6 speed installing too.

Don't want the engine fully built, just tuned to around 450hp (BPU). I'm sure the GTE engine and gearbox can handle that kind of power stock.
Do you know anybody who can do this conversion?

no prob around that to be honest, though depends on if you do any work yourself, how much you get the block/box for, what ecu you use.

It's a string of different parts needed to make it reliable mate. engine, box, custom prop, cooling is often an issue in the smaller engine bay, electronics are a pain etc.
