I have just bought a beautiful IS200 SE auto 03plate; But with only the valet key which actually opens boot and glove box! so non-standard but chip is only valet as the security light takes 2 secs to go to off;
SO not having the master key would you give your views on this getting round the problem option for a spare:- get a remote expert tech to by-pass the ignition chip; duplicate the IMM/Lock/ Unlock on a new pocket fob/card as a back-up spare remote; get a spare (or two) key blade cut. I am assured the key I have will work as normal.
Will there be any future problems with battery disconnect for example?
