Hi,
my LS400 1993 failed MOT rear fogg light and tell-tail light not working, i have checked the fuse ok but have renewed it anyway to be on the safe side, bulbs test ok, tested supply where it enters boot,no joy. So i need to check dash-board switch, and i really do need some advice, is the tell-tail light bulb part of the circuit? How do i remove the switch assembly? it comprises of the rear fogg swich, head-lamp ajuster, and rear view mirror ajuster
hope someone can help, best regards Dave

Hello Dave and welcome to the LOC.
Mine is an import model so the rear fogs are retrofitted and so a custom loom was used.
I don't know if the UK spec is the same but in order for the rear fogs to work on mine the fronts also have to be switched on ( the switch lower down the headlight stalk)
I will try and find the wiring diagram but with it being a US version it may not have the circuit listed.
The switch panel is clipped in and can be removed with a flat blade or small wallpaper scraper inserted along the top and bottom edges.

Hi Steve Hi Colin
Many thanks for your welcome to LOC.
Manage to remove switch panel by removing coin drawer, which exsposed two fixing screws. Wiring quite a mess with many joins and splices, Good point live to and from switch, leading i suspect to a relay, Question, where is the relay fixed?
Colin,i followed your advice rang STG Auto electic Newport, very helpfull, also rang Lexus Cardiff, they were obliging and sympathetic but had not worked on a LS400 for some years and from memory the relay could be any where on the car. I should mention i've owned the car five years, the rear fog has never worked and util now only failed one MOT with broken rear spring, it has LPG conversion, and park assist which is unreliable.
Thanks again to you both for your input and interest, if all else fails i can put a seperate circuit in
regards Dave
