I was wondering whether anyone has put in a second set of HID's? I already had the ballasts from my Cougar and have ordered some new bulbs but was thinking about maybe putting a second set on main beam.

So is that three different sets of ballasts then? Not heard of green hids before.... whats the story with them? Your machine sounds VERY well sorted.

The higher the "K" the lower the actual light output. "K" is a temperature colour measurement and not an indication of light output which is measured in lumens. 4300K is standard factory fit for Xenon HID and will give off the most light.

Yes that will require a set of ballasts for each pair of lights. So 6 in total for his setup.

And you can get them in most colours on the light spectrum, yellow, white, blue, pink, purple..take your pick.

If you want to be really funky (for show use only) you can get them in ultra violet I think, so you can make anything white in a 200m area infront of you turn purple :o

Well I've ordered 5k for the headlights and sidelights so will go for the same with the beam but get ballasts to support the 55w ones I ordered by mistake. The ultra violet sounds very tempting! Especially for use on the fog lights. Would be an interesting idea.
