Tools Needed

Power/Battery Drill
22mm Circular drill bit with Mandrake bit
Silicon sealant
cable ties

The Quanan Kit

First of I positioned the sensors using masking take in verticlas stips. I then measured the distance apart. The measurements are listed whithin the installation guide

The when the measurements have been made so be equal distance apart horrizontially and vertically from the top of the bumper.

To make sure I did not hit any bumper irons in side the dumper I decided to drill pilot holes. This was mainly for testing and also easier to drill with the 22MM bit later on.

Then usaing the circular bit I drilled out the holes

Once you drill out your whole it is time to drag the wiring through the hole.. this was a scary moment as I did not know if this would work.. but after a bit of persuation I manauged to feed the calble through the bumper

I then ran the cabling inside the bumper tying it up with cable ties making sure all the cabling is tight and not showing.

I then drilled a hole in the spare wheel pan and fed the sensor cables through... Sealing the hole afterwards with black silicone.

I decided to place the distance meter above the passengers seat belt... this was the best place to put the meter in my opinion as you do not have to move your head fully round or keep your eye on the dash... pefect spot.. plus it was very easy to fide the cables in the trim

Steve
Then time to position the micro computer.. decided it would be a good place above my amp as it would less likely to get broken in this spopt

I need to wire in the system to the reverse light... trouble is with the ES you have to actually remove the whole unit to get to bulbs.. I really needed to see what colour wire i neded to hook into... As it happens the red wore is what was needed... PLEASE NOTE if you are wiring an ES you may not need to remove light unit as the feed wires are visible from the back of the unit.. simply hook up from there.

Here is a pic of the wire with the unit out anyway

The finished unit.. you might find a way to hide the wiring and be more discreet...

Steve
pic of the meter in place.. looks cool!

The finished results and after testing with a brick wall and a cat it was very accurate.
