Has anyone got the following IS200 dealer supplied accesories and can answer the queries:

Sport grille - how is it different to the standard one ?

Illuminated scuff plates - does the word 'Lexus' light up or the whole plate ? Are they battery powered (hope not) or do they wire to the door loom.

How much are these accesories ?
GRiM
Plenty of piccys of the Sports mesh grille in the gallery...

You'd be better to tell us the colour of your new car, so a piccy could be shown of it.

Check out the LOC gallery HERE

The illuminated scuff plates do indeed run off a battery,

Your car battery!

And they can be wired to the door. Just the word Lexus lights up in blue.

Young Brettster has written some very nice install instructions for these..

See HERE

Prices for these illuminated scuff plates are approximately £200, but will be less to GOLD members if they buy from a participating Lexus dealer offering GOLD discounts.

You'd save on the cost of your GOLD membership subscription on these alone....

The sports grille is well worth going for, as it looks much nicer (in my opinion of course)

Yeah sorry I meant do the plates run from the car battery or an internal battery. So thats answered. Do they look good ?

Grille - well the car is Black to answer the previous post.

I have seen the grille in the brouchure and all I can make out is that the mesh appears to be a different style but I guess there is more to it. If there is an obvious picture in the gallery that illustrates the difference can someone point me to it - thanks.

(with the L)

The grill will cost about 200 quid from the dealer.. (don't forget your GOLD discount :winky: ), and in most peoples opinion it does look a lot better.
(I think it gives it a sportier look).

So where would i get a set or 2 of those illuminated scuff plates?
smw
They can be ordered through any UK Lexus dealer.

They feature in the 'accessories' brochure which they can also supply or you can request from the Lexus site on line.

The brochure was printed April 2003 - code GBNGC-043LE-AC.

Any problems - the last page has a help line number - 0845 278 8888 - don't know if this is accessory specific or just a general help line.

Thanks GRiM... my very first addition (not including the spoiler)..

The grill really is worth it... and if you want extra agression, you can take off the (L)..

Its a sport grill... dont we think that the Sport model should have them as standard?

Perhaps even a chrome finished tail pipe?

Like that look with the dark L. How easy to remove the 'sport' badge ?
