TTE and Toyota corporation are fuming with the journo who did the article

it has a V8 4.3 engine in it!

So what was the donor vehicle?? IS300 or 200 SE?

What is the suspension? TTE coilovers?

it was an IS200 with the engine from an LS430.

dunno about the suspension

purely by looking at the pictures i would say the is 200 sport cos

it is an is 200 sport +
hasn't got tiptronic gear box

we've also been told that it will look different to the one above - more chrome, less black.

new wheels, and some new styling cues.



its worth going to JAE just to see this car.

I would agree Matt, except it has an auto-box.. and the two alloy pedals from the IS300.
But.. it has the IS200 seats.. and sport alloy trimmings & steering wheel..

The gear-box looks the same as the 200 SE.. hence my question...

My understanding is we will get to talk to the guys that made this at JAE??

at the risk of being a kiljoy.

wouldn't it have been more fun to stick a Dodge Charger 427 supercharged Yenko Engine in and IS 200?

Imagine how many people will look at differently when you start the engine and they hear some serious detroit metal gnashing and wailing! and with standing quarter times that back up the noise. it would have earned fairly and squarely the title, "Beast"

the silver was only a show car...now converted back to an is200

built by TTE

owned by the Toyota Corporation

the gearbox is from the ls430

as is the engine

do a bleedin search, this is the worlds most talked about lexus, ive answered questions about this since day one of this forum......

and on every other forum out there

otherwise go to JAE nd find out

NOTE: The IS430 will never be a produced car.. the IS430 is purely a running development project.... it will not be produced
