Hi all

I'm just wondering as to what all you who have the leather/suede seats in your IS200 use for cleaning them? My seats aren't really that dirty, just need to be freshened up a little.

A few years ago I used to valet cars during the summer holidays when I was in college and I was wondering if a normal fabric cleaner that professional car valeters use in their shampooing machines to clean cloth seats and carpets be safe on these seats?

Obvoiusly overwetting would not be good for either the leather or the suede and I would imagine that it would be advisable to use some sort of leather care cream/conditioner afterwards to replenish the oils.

Any advice?

Cheers

I've always used Autoglym for the interior - dash spray and leather cleaner. Since a recommendation from Matt McNally, I bought the Zymol leather cleaner (available in Halfords). I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it smells good!

I've used the Zymol range for the inside, it works well and I like the smell.

I got mine at http://www.johnswax.co.uk

Guy at work has a D Type replica and TVR and he put me onto Gliptone (available via web - don't have address with me) - it worked much better than Autoglym (I have black leather in IS200) - no white residue / smells superb / leather no very supple. tongue.gif

Gliptone (Retail products) ?

I've still got the "Supagard After Care - Leather Cleaning Kit" un-opened in the box. Came 'free' with the Supagard interior/exterior treatment. Given how useless the Supagard interior treatment has been (turned the interior into a dust magnet) - can't say I'm rushing to use it! mad.gif

Used the Zymol at the weekend and really rate it. It's a lot easier to use than the Autoglym and soaks in very well. It's really made a difference to the look of my leather seats.
