I have a 2002 E-shift (stock) I'd like to increase my 0-60 without voiding the warranty. I'm in TX & haven't seen the L-tuned IS w/c I heard is a second faster than my stock IS. The Team Lexus cars 0-60 is 6.4 seconds. Does anyone have details on what to do w/ the intake & exhaust. I was told to just replace the exhaust w/ the L-tuned exhaust & replace my filter w/ a K&N or similar ones. Any suggestions or does anyone know what brand of intake & exhaust was used on the L-tuned version because I heard that the only diff. of the stock & L-tuned IS is they modified the intake & exhaust?

Hmmm... as a complete 'mod virgin' I'd also be curious to know if something as straightforward (?) as a better exhaust & air filter could produce a decent power boost for the e-Shift model. The quoted figure for the UK spec e-Shift is 8.2s for 0-60, but I figure it would take something more radical to get that anywhere near 6.2s

Any mod that doesn't destroy the warranty or mpg would be nice

Fitting an induction kit and exhaust won't necessarly improve bhp or 0-60... but it will make the car more responsive... and remove any 'flat spots' that may exist...

It's probably the best place to start when modding a car..

adding a good induction kit and exhaust WILL improve the BHP and response of a car

As Mat said, yes you will see an increase in HP & performance...

e.g. a new back box will add in the region of 5bhp

A complete system will add more, and conbining this with an induction kit will improve further..

The point I was trying to make was the car will be much more responsive with these mods, and is well worth doing...
