Hey guys, I'm really curious as to whether or not this is a good deal or not. I found a 98 LS400 with 117K mi. w/sunroof, htd seats, cd changer, VSC, etc. (no nav or xenon). The car has a few dings and scratches on the exterior..(NYC car), and the owner has no idea as to maintenance records, other than it drives like new. Is it worth purchasing and shelling out a few bucks on getting the maintenance up to date if need be, or should i just let this "deal" pass me by? btw...asking price is 17.9 but there is also a "must sell, negotiable" clause...which can be good or bad news.
Thanks for your advice in advance.

No idea about maintenance records?
Buy with your head not your heart.
Why by a dubious car when you can have a safe one.
I could be wrong. It may be a great car. But it isn't worth the risk.
Walk away.

not sure how cheap it is but if its more than 4 grand under book. buy it if yuo like it cos £4k is gonna fix pretty much all the parts that could be on way out.
maybe if you told us WHY there is no service record...... we could help more

I assume form you reference to a "NYC Car" that you mean its been owned in New York City, therefore you may want to post your query on our sister site:
