GS300 interior seat housings and bottom of door trim has black scuff marks. Does anyone know what's the best stuff to remove this ? Either normal household stuff or specialist car solution - either will do. Thanks a lot.

Have you tried a damp cloth and elbow grease???

Its worth seeing if it will just 'come off' before resorting to cleaners...

I have tried that and trim cleaner.. and all that happened was i goy a knackered arm...

would like to know myself..

I had the same marks on my car. Nail polish remover will get rid of most things. Use a very small amount and wash off straight away.

WARNING: I would recommend testing on an area that cannot be seen first.

i used autoglym product, its in a white bottle wit a green label (cant remember the name exactly, i'll go in the garage and check later)

gets rid of all black marks on the beige plastic on my IS, trainer marks etc

Jif or Cif or whatever the euro crowd call it these days works too, a small amount on a damp cloth will get almost anything off plastic, i used it on the plastic at the base of the seats and dashboard for scuff marks.

Nice one Colin ! The Jif didn't work but the nail polish remover did !
It not only removed the scuff marks (easily) it also made the plastic sparkling new !
Like you say you need to have a wet cloth handy to wipe it over straight away.
The whole process works a treat ! tongue.gif
