Does anyone know where I can get a tow bar for a Lexus LS 400
- I am missing the detachable hook of a Lexus fitted towbar

Lexus UK can only supply the full unit at huge expense.

I would be very pleased to hear if someone has one available i can buy

I have just fitted one today - Watling Engineering do a complete towbar - and should be in stock - about £245 - it has a detachable fitting that just shows the end of a square tube below the bumper. You do have to remove the rear bumper - fitting yourself takes about 3 hrs. Do check that your car has an oil cooler fitted to the transmission - it should have - if not this is £235 plus fitting - one hour by Lexus - £70 ish. Hope this helps.

thanks yr suggestion re my missing towbar. amazingly the previous owner found the original hook and replied to my letter. must have been my lucky day.
