and also, how's he doing ?
I've not heard much about how he's doing since the egg throwing boob showing drum banging incidents !?
so what do you all think - raving looney attention seeking fool, or genuine magician extending the limits of entertainment while combining a challenge like never before ?

David Blane has given up his controversial stunt...
.... he was told that 44 days doing nothing in a box is not going to break the record which is currently held by Emile Heskey at 4 years.

I have one comment:
A fool chooses to starve himself and we all watch..... One billion people have no choice and we ignore them.

perhaps some of the est 5million he is to make from this stunt should go to the starving people of this world.. would be interesting to see if he does make any gesture of this kind..

I dont think people ignore the starving.. a big percentage here have given to charity in their lifetime.. we know its there and it exsists
if david blane was gonna do this for a year then give it 3 months and we would all be bored.... starvation in 3rd world countries has been happening for many many years. Once a year we support this with dedicated charity shows like comic relief.
I always drop my change in charity boxes when at the shops...
So I would not say we ignore the fact of the starving people... but if the stunt makes you feel that we do.. then why dont you put your hand in your pocket and do something about it.

Have to say I'm with Zee on this one.
Starving yourself for personal financial gain & publicity when there are so many who don't have a choice, is questionable to say the least.

If I had to spend 44 days in a box I think I can safely say it would be the very neatly trimmed box of Byonce Knowles!
on the serious point of the starving folks around the world. Yep, its a bummer. THe combined wealth of the Churches has enough money to feed all of them and keep the change... Strange how they don't see it as worthy of their attention

Bishop is more likely to get bashed than starve...
