i have changed my mind about doing spare car parts as my database.
im now thinking of doing a car show room data base. that is keeping a record of new cars, used cars, customers and employees.
the database would have search facilities etc.
also it would be able to calculate the pay for the exployees that is when a sales person sells a car his or her commision per sale will be added to his/her pay.
any suggerstions

This one sounds more complicatd than the other one.
Presumably you are goimg to have to keep spec. details of each car ( new and used ), contact details etc. for customers and salary deatails for each member of staff ( tax code, pension, NI, deductions + to date figures ) ................ so you can calculate their pay.
This sounds like a stock system, customer system, payroll system and a car locator system ...... IMHO too much for a first project for A-Level. What does your tutor say?

it wouldnt really be a car locator but more like what used cars are available at the dealer.
and a stcok file of available car at dealer or if not order one.
but the payroll would be the complex working database.
