O Mr Moderater I forget 1...

" Whenever 1 needs replacing, I replace the whole set "

Is it possible to add this? Just have to have every angle covered whistling.gif

pairs! not always rears first... I had dodgy tracking and had to replace my fronts not 3 months having just bought a set of five newbies...

got worn fronts again after doing 5,000 more than replaced rears so gonna swap fronts for rears and then put new rears on so will have matching 4 again... bit mad but you know how it is with cars... sleepy.gif

always did pairs (rears first) - until last tyres change, when I swapped the whole lot (including two good rears @ about 5mil each) for Toyo Proxes.

I had heard nothing but good things about the Toyos, and the rate I was getting through the potenzas was becoming very expensive (near £700 for 4 new potenzas, and then 7k later, 2 new fronts, then 13k 2 more fronts mad.gif mad.gif )

touch wood, throw salt over his shoulder etc etc - the Toyos are wearing well at over 10k with no sign of abnormal wear despite some time with tracking seriously out

I do what Mat says, put new ones on the back, rotate the half-worn back ones to the front, dispose of the inside-worn front tyres whistling.gif
Unless your're really laying rubber every time, this schedule could be maintained.

This should also slightly lessen the chance of getting caught by unexpected oversteer in the wet.

I do in pairs unless a newish one gets a puncture that can't be repaired.

Haven't thought about rear first though.

Where I buy my tyres from it doesn't matter if you get 1, 2 or all 4, the price is the same.
