I did a curb damage to my front near side wheel over the weekend. Does anyone know of a place in the London area where it can be repaired?

Speak to Pete (Scorpion), he's used someone in/near London for his wheels before. I think both for powdercoating and repairs.

More to the point - what tyres can I buy that have a sidewall protector bead or buffer so that the tyre hits the kerb, not my alloys??
On my 245/40zr18 Dunlop 2030s on my SC430 the tyre only protrudes 3mm out from the alloys.
I have tried a Dunlop 9000 with supposed sidewall protectors but they were no better than the 2030s.
Any advice would be welcomed - my three previous postings have had no replies whatsover!

Some of the Bridgestone tyres have rim protectors on them but I don't you are going to get more than 3 or 4 mm sticking out.

quite a few tyres come with rim protectors, but i've been told dont rely on them. There was site, which state rim protectors as a feature but I cant find the address
will try to post it later.
