Carbon Fiber eyelids are more difficult to install then fiberglass eyelids, since the fiberglass material is much softer/flexible.

yes, you better use whindshield black glue for sticking them
thanks yemgi, great guide.
Thoose of you that got the fiberglass ones, have you used windshield glue ?

Clear silicone worked for me,blasting up the M/Way@ over speed limit they're still on there

I wouldn't use it,the tape is very thin and i just dont think it would be up to the job.
If you use windscreen glue and you want to change your car,and remove the eyelids it is a real pig to get off the lense.

Follow the instructions above, but i used silicone and taped them down for about 5 hours(let silicone dry right out)works a treat Mz.

One of my eyelids was coming off so, I've taken off the tape and stuck them back on with silicone. Now they don't seem to be touching everywhere.
I've just masking taped over the top, but when I push down on them they push down a few mm to touch the headlight..... Will they stay on when dry

???

The answer is no it won't keep on, so got some tape from a mate whos into sailing, tape which they use for hull repair, or something like that?

mines are taped for the mo cause the weather doesn't allow me to glue them as the car stays outside. They are on since november and I have no probs even at 200km/h . As Pete said, windshield glue will be nearly impossible to remove without destroying the glass. The silicone is the best if you want to sell your car back to the original look.

B & Q is your best bet

tried fitting my Tom eyelids today, but the double side tape not strong enough as the eyelids need to be pressed down at both end to fit properly, so i think im going to get some silicone as well as double side tape, but what the best double side tape i can get?
also which type of silicone should i use, as there are many different type i can get from B&Q, and i think most of them are soft rubber type....

The best double-sided tape is the red 3M tape.
It is used in bodyshops, etc...

just use some good mould resistant clear silicone. It would be cheaper to get it from your local plumpers merchant than B&Q tho. I'll be putting mine on next week just with silicone

I couldn't find out any info by searching so was wondering what you guys with black IS's and black toms eyebrows did with the grey outer rim around the headlights that can be seen slightly (but not as clearly) here along the top far edge of the eyebrow where the wing comes over:

was thinking of spraying them black or have you just left it. it looks really obvious on mine

Guy's,
Remember to make sure your headlights are very clean before you stick them on. I used methylated spirits on mine and have had no problems at all. (stuck down with double sided foam tape)
