Hi, due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, (which i wont go into), I am back to my standard back box.

Now ideally, I would love to get my hands on a HKS Superdrager, but it is my understanding that these have been discontinued.

So,

Q1, does anyone know where i could get hold of one?

Q2, can anyone reccomend another aftermarket backbox, which has the 'meaty' sound of the Superdrager (bearing in mind i have no engine mods), but that isnt too intrusive inside the cabin (as i have to use the car for work)?

Any advice greatly appreciated...

I thought they had been discontinued as well?

And i was told they are quite intrusive..

Mat C can modify the standard box to be like a Hiper (xtra BHP)

We have the Apexi systems landing any time now. Maybe they will be more to your liking smile.gif
Wosket

i have the first modded one ane it does make a difference, the car isnt really much louder from the inside outside it has a very nice rasp tone - sounds even better once i fitted the SC
Scorpion
Ian you could try THESE.
jdmparts_guru
I still can source some HKS Hiper and Drager exhausts for the Altezza. I believe these are the same as you are mentioning.

Some other LOC members asked me about these, and I am now trying to find the most economical way to ship them. It is not the weight, it's the size of the packing. ohmy.gif
Wosket
what kind of price for a hiper?

currently, the price for the HKS Hiper (HiPower) is USD315 and the HKS Super Drager is USD280.
This is excluding shipping. Shipping is at actual cost (and may be the an issue).

These must be old stock as they are no longer manufactured.

Bite his hand off Ian if you want a Hiper or Drager 2 smile.gif
Wosket
this is definitely the old hiper and not the new quieter one?

if it is GB anyone?

does that mean mod the standard factory fitted back box?
hows that done???
Rob
cut it open and remove the approx 1.5m of tubing inside - this isa perforated tube wrapped in lagging then do a direct drilled pipe from inlet to exit.

I'm chomping at the bit as we speak Mark...

I wub.gif the Drager, so hopefully shipping wont be too painful...

If there is enough interest, I can organize a GB.
Since the size of the packing is bigger than the max. size allowed by the post office, I need to find a way to send these over. One option is to combine all the exhausts together, and then send them using a freight forwarder.
We could send everything to one single UK address and then redistribute them from there. Who is willing to be this redistribution point smile.gif ? Steve?

I estimate that it will only make sense if we can find at least 4 people.

Let me know. tongue.gif
Colin P
I definately want a Hiper, money is ready and waiting, hopefully we can get a few more people and organise shipping.

Any rough idea on price? Also, is this something I would be able to fit myself easily enough?
Fargo

Hi Claire,

He mentioned above $280-$300 before shipping.

Yes you could fit it yourself, but a garage would only charge 20 quid of so fitting.. Its just two bolts, but getting under the car may be an issue..

I'd like a Drager please.. (is it the super drager? I or II... as long as it isnt the silent version).
Wosket
id the drager better than the hiper?

anyone got any sound clips????

im definitely up for one or the other so i think thats 3 definites
Fidgits
The Hiper is a higher power zorst, and is louder than the Drager.

However, I personally prefer the 'burble' that the Drager gives, over the raucous sound of the Hiper.

So 3 deffos, and Claires a maybe... oooh, I'm getting excited....

Yea, a sound file of each would be good, i want something pretty loud but not exceptionally loud. Any advice? Would the Drager be loud enough?

Either way, i def. want one
Wosket
i think im gonna go for the drager. when can we get these to the uk?

i cant wait w00t.gif

I'd be happy to plump for a Drager if shipping was reasonable.

Fidgits
So do we have enough people for a GB then?

Do we have a plan for point-of-entry?

Oh, and a thought, what about customs?
jdmparts_guru
I think you probably need to pay customs duty. But I can put a much lower price on the invoice.

I am awaiting the quote for the shipping charges (assuming a minimum of 4 sets are shipped) and hope to have this quote by Friday.

Will then post information on the shipping cost and post the GB. smile.gif

Temptress is my middle name wink.gif

I think is slightly angled but not much in it - I think it looks good on the car - but different people like different things.
markyboyallen
Is the Altezza the same back box - if it is
This is just the chance i've wanted - Super Drager please

So we reckon about $280-300 + shipping

Is there a volunteer for the main recipient yet ??
Fidgits
Okay guys.

I have been in contact with JDM Parts Guru.

He has asked me if I would be the central delivery point in the UK, which i am happy to do (just need to clear up a couple of details).

Now, for anyone who is still interested in this GB, do any of you have any objections to me being the central delivery point? The zorsts would (most likely) be shipped onwards to you within a day or so.

Hopefully JDM parts guru will start a new thread shortly, with approx costs etc...
Colin P
sounds good to me, so you would get them then send them on to us? would we have to pay extra for the second leg of the shipping or is it included in the total price? Also, how would customs be sorted out?

A final price would be good but i'm still interested (that Apexi exhaust does look nice though!)
