Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to find out about lowering my IS200se with PI springs by a 35mm drop. Basically I keep noticing on the forum that the Eibach's are probably the prefered springs to be used in this car but have been quoted a good price to get the car lowered with PI springs which I think is 5mm lower than the Eibachs, I now need to know if there would be any difference bettween the two apart from the 5mm difference and also any problems I might encounter if I lower by 35mm and put a set of 18" alloys?

Does this mean that the PI springs are crap? I have'nt a clue with all of this stuff and all I require is advice, should I or should'nt I go for the PI springs? I need to know if the only difference is with the brand? Or are they just not worth fitting, I don't mind paying the bling to get Eibach's fitted but if the only difference is brand then I'll settle for the PI's as I can get a better deal when I purchase springs, alloys and tyres together.

Sorry mate, wouldn't take them if they were given for free sick.gif if i was you i would not buy the Pi springs, they are crap, they are soft, and do not last long, they are ok for small, light cars, but i would not put them in a Lex for sure.

Easiest option is either go for the Eibachs (30mm) or try and get hold of H&R's (35mm), both of these are made of good quality and will last for a long time.. yous won't have any problems with these 2 makes.. msn-wink.gif

(I had the H&R's - Now sold - Bought the Tein SS Coilovers)

Hi,

I got Eibach springs, and even posted a review

I got Eibachs because the are highly reccomended, so much so, if you order the official TTE lowering springs from Lexus, they are re-badged Eibach ones.

I've just had TTE's fitted and agree with Ians review - the handling difference even before the tracking re-alignment is incredible - corners just so flat now.
Ride is harsher but I can live with that - motorways are fine, bumpy bad roads just hit a bit harder that's all. biggrin.gif

What are you basing this very harsh reveiw on? have you ever driven a Lex that is fitted with Pi's?

I have the Pi's and find them to be very good.I also had eibachs on my mondeo (bigger car) and the ride was very stiff and uncomfatable.and Pi's drop an extra 5mm which can only be a good thing;)

Just thought id add my 2 pence worth as ive had experiance with both.
