Got into my car thismorning and windscreen ect was frosted up. So I started up engine turned on heater and rear/front screen dimist.
After about 2 mins I heard a "POP" sound come from windscreen and a small crack about 4 inches appeared near where the alarm/headlight sensors are in my Front screen.
I got out to examine the crack and noticed that the heated screen element had blown (it was glowing red at each end of the break). Anyway I got back in car and drove to work but on my way the crack has grown right across my screen.
My car is only 12 weeks old.


Anyone else had this problem?

I had a similair problem last year in the first cold snap.

Needed a new windscreen

Yeah, Only my sceen has cracked due to a fauly element. Im waiting for Lexus to call me. Just hope they dont try to blame it on a stonechip...

The crack only appeared after the element went POP..

Can't see there being a problem with lexus fitting it...
