    Hi flush the gearbox oil and change the filter before you do anything else this will make sure you have the correct oil and a new filter before trying to diagnose anything else with the box this is what I would advise my customers to do

    A good point about starting points but don't you find it strange that the difference in initial start cost that the is200 stacks up to cars costing three times more when new don't get me wrong my xj is a great car but I find the quality is not up to the Lexus In my view and I have been a mechanic for 35years

    Yes it will adjust but v power has cleaning additives in it so will keep things nice and clean I know the is engine runs smooth anyway but it just seems to run better on v power

    Andy I know what you mean about people I spend £15 a week on going to the gym and people say that's a lot then they spend £7.50 a day x 7 = £52.50 a week on cigarettes

    I have several people ask me to sell them my Lexus the reason I liked the jag over the ISF is I find them a little bland inside just like the new jag I love the dash in the IS and the jag has loads of switches like the IS but on the outside ISF looks the part without a doubt we live and learn

    Hi spoke to a few people who have ISF's and they say the ride is hard I like the idea of comfort but lots of power which the xjr has I just love the look of the mark one is 200 I bought it now but it's going up for sale and I will go back to my Lexus

    Hi did you clean out the small filter that goes to the vvt it is located where the banjo bolt goes in on the cylinder head

    If you are talking about the power ect then all this does is make the throttle pedal more responsive and the gear box will change a little different you will not feel a big difference

    Hi is the noise from the engine or inside the car also check water level in the radiator not just the overflow tank
