  1. Happy Birthday KevShek!

  2. Ive a problem with a Toyota autobox whereby its changing up thru the gear too soon. The only way i can explain it is that its shifting up at around 4.5K rpm instead of revving upto 6K rpm at WOT. Also, it wont kick down from 4th to 3rd gear if i plant my foot down. This basically make the car slower during acceleration as it doesnt stay in gear long enough to benifit from higher rpm or the VVTi for that matter! Ive check the fluids, will be changing it soon cos ive simply run out of ideas. Ive been told to change the MAF as the shift points can be load related, still no good. Ive checked the TPS, its within tolerances. What else can cause the shift points to change?
  3. Got the ATF sorted, it was due to an incompetant parts guy who sold me the wrong stuff in the first place, the guy i seen today knew of the Type T-IV and knew it was different to what i had been given. Is there any guides on the board concerning AT Flush proceedure? I wanna make sure i get every last bit of fluid out and fresh stuff in.
  4. brilliant! thanks mate, will print this off and shove it..... i mean show it to them. :)
  5. yeah, its the same as the 08886-81015 1 litre bottle i got today, they have no info on the bottle, its whats on the invoice that worries me.
  6. sorry to dig up an old thread, but i thought it was relavant for people like me who are having problems with this Type T-IV fluid. I contact my toyota dealer for some T-IV and they gave me 08886-81015 which is stated as DEXTRON III which i queried there and then, but without proof, i just paid and left. Now according to this http://www.lexusclub.co.uk/gearboxoil.pdf It STATES that vehicles specified with Type T-IV CAN NOT use DEXTRON III ........... Ive take the part number from the bulletin, given it to them and they tell me is superceeded by 08886-82025 (which has been mentioned here by Colinbarber) and as stated is known to Toyota as PAS fluid. Also 08886-81015 (which cleverdick mentioned) from post #2 is also superceeded by 08886-82025 again PAS Fluid. Can anyone confirm that i have the right to go back to toyota, show them this info and say they have infact given me the wrong fluid? Also, anyone running with the PAS Fluid and is it correct?
  7. I got a responce from Blitz after contacting Ogura. "Dear Kevin, My Name is Tomas from Blitz Japan. We had a request from Ogura if we could help you out. First, you are right that Ogura supply's the supercharger and we design the specific kits using Ogura's super charger. As I mentioned, we design the kit specifically for a typical vehicle model, test it thoroughly and start mass production. As a result, we do not have different pulley sizes in our product line to fulfill your request. We wish we could help you out but I'm afraid that it is over our power. Thank you. Sincerely yours, Tomas Kasari Blitz Co., Ltd" So naturally, ive emailed back to do some more digging, basically about the other pulleys on the other kits, aswell as converting to a solid pulley.
  8. dont know how much boost like, but from previous experiences, 7 psi, 8 or higher psi and your pushing your luck on a high compression engine.
  9. nah mine 4 groove, as the belts 4 rib. i think ive have it sussed, if i undo the bolt, the front cover should extract out, this is the bit that is fixed to the shaft via a keyway, then the rest comes off in turn.
  10. ok, i can take a hint :) yeah, just been looking at this http://www.oguraclutch.co.jp/english/e_pro...r/car-air_1.htm
  11. well, i think we will need to remove the pulley to find out the various info, ie the shaft diameter/keyway etc. Still not looking forward to doing it.
  12. well, its was a woman i spoke to..................... say no more! why dont you give it a go? i even asked if there were any other ogura automotive distributors in the UK?............ i think that one was too hard.
  13. sh!t transak dont do the automotive side of ogura, they only do industrial!
  14. ive managed to find some contact details for the UK www.transak.co.uk and i am contacting them to see if they can get me a clutch pulley, it does say custom applications :)
