Can you tell me where i might be able to purchase an amp or a nakamichi factory head unit......or would it be better to buy an aftermarket amp and hook it up????

I need to know what is wrong with my car. My radio volume is very low. I have to turn the volume knob half way up before any sound will produce. And even when u turn it all the way up its not that loud for the radio but the cd player is a little louder but still not blasting. Also my bass isnt loud either. Do you have any suggestions? Could it be the radio or the amp? NEED HELP
