  1. Fair enough. Your compleatly right, I'm completely wrong. The entire LPG industry is fantastic. Based on the above post it would seem nothing will ever go wrong with your car or LPG conversion ever. All information you will receive from different installers will be exactly the same. I'd be more than happy to have one fitted to a car I spent over £25,000 on. Please ignore all my future posts as I obviously know nothing.
  2. with Thats very unfair tarring every LPG installer with the same brush. There is good and bad in everything. Two members have had a positive experience with their chosen installers in my case on more than one occasion, they should not just be rubbished along with the rest of the cowboys that are out there. Mike What I have said doesn't make my opinion unfair. It is my experience with LPG installers. The one's being "tarred" are the numerous ones I have contacted. I am aware that there are good and bad in everything but the installers I had contacted had all differing opinions on what was needed. Each installers opinions of the advice I was given from the others was very negative indeed. I feel your response to my opinion on this is far more unfair. I have said what I needed to say so lets keep this on topic.
  3. In my opinion, don't bother with the LPG conversion. I found a lack of consistency in terms of information from the numerous suppliers and installers that I contacted. Far too big a risk to take in my opinion considering what can and obviously will go wrong. As for the AC, it might be worth checking the filters.
  4. I'm currently staying in Germany and have had a fantastic couple of days. I have taken my LS430 round the Nurburgring four times today. Apart from cooking it's brakes and being a bit of a handful it was a right giggle. Has anyone else taken their LS round the Nurburgring and what did you think of how it performed?
  5. This is why I never had my 430 converted to LPG. Too many differing opinions from too many "expert" installers. When it would all go inevitably wrong then your left with problems like this. Sorry your having these problems.
  6. To be honest Dave you could still gently rev it to 3,000 rpm and no one would know. It's not till you give it a bootfull that it sounds alarmingly monstrous.
  7. They are Toxo. They also have bendy bits and blue bits with pipey bits. Much louder than I was expecting. Just wondering if anyone else had this as well.
  8. Just wondering if anyone has fitted an Injen intake to their LS430 and if so what are your experiences of it?
  9. Lexus never again? You would have had exactly the same problem if you'd have bought an Audi A8 4.2, Mercedes S500, BMW 745i. And from main dealers as well. You've got a years warrenty with the car which you can extend if you want too at the end of the first year. You've got bar none one of the best luxuary cars on the market. A bit of research would have told you that no one these days wants a 2 ton car with a 4.3 litre engine which averages 22mpg if you drive it like a nun with no right foot. Everyone wants the diesel version of these which Lexus don't offer hence massive depreciation. You will always have paid for from a Lexus main dealer anyway but would you have rather bought from somewhere else? Try and get a problem with the car fixed from another used car emporium would be an absolute nightmare. Welcome to the real world of buying and owning Luxury cars from main dealers. You've bought it, now enjoy it for what it is. You don't get somthing for nothing I'm afraid.
  10. My LS430 has 245 45 18's on them at the moment. If I can get conformation that your LS wheels would fit on my car I might be interested.
  11. In terms of LPG, all I can say is don't. I was considering having mine done. I contacted five different companies, who all told me five different things with all the advice differing from one company to another. I have heard of LS430 owners having no problems at all and other owners who's cars were plagued with problems after having an LPG system fitted. If you want economy, and I really hate saying this, BMW730d, Audi A8 3.0tdi or Mercedes S320CDI.
  12. Michelin Pilot Sports are the only tyres I have on my LS430. I have tried Dunlop and Bridgestone, but the Pilot Sports are worth the extra.
