  1. gud suggestion dont think ive tried that. I will give that a try. Yeah it is really wierd that all the vents on the left side of the car are giving out cold air.
  2. lol 2000 v reg, lexus IS200 SE Auto. Never had this problem before, it started some point this year but I never bothered looking into or anything. But now im looking at getting it fixed but dunno what it could be or what i may need?
  3. it gives out cold air at the windows vent and middle vent on the left, the vents for the feet, and the upper vents for the windscreen, all these vents on the passenger side give out cold air no matter what whilst the driver side is fine. this is really wierd
  4. The thing is I dunno. Someone only told me like ages after that there is cold air coming so I dont think it was a garage fault unless it was? I dunno, its been like for time now. Had it been on the driver side I wudve known straight away if it was garage fault. My mate says its prob 1 of the thermal stat inside the car that has gone and maybe needs a new filter, he says my car prob has 2 thats why the driver side is still working and the car temp is still fine.
  5. Hi, There is cold air coming out the vents inside the car on the passenger side. This has been known for a few months now but I havent bothered to get it fixed. Any idea what needs replacing or why this is happening.....? Even when ive got the thermal stat to the highest settings over 28, it still gives out cold air at the passenger side, whilst the driver side is fine and warm. I have tried many different settings but it still gives out cold air at the passenger side only. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated :-) Thanks
  6. haha alrite Thanks guys. Yeah i will need to get a diagnosis done anyway to see which abs sensor needs changing if that is the case. I dont think ill be doin 90 at all in the current weather, too icey and rear wheel drive........not a good equation
  7. how much do they roughly cost.......? Is it still okay to drive the car tho?
  8. nah mine just flashes when i start the car on even if i dont drive it :-S The car drives fine but just the light keeps flashing. Ive tried pressing the Traction off button but that has no effect. Anyone have any idea or other suggestions.........?
  9. Hi, I have a Lexus IS200 SE 2000 model, just the other day the TRC OFF light started flashing and it has been doing so today as well. Does anyone know why this is happening? It happened a couple weeks ago as well and the garage just disconnected the battery and that fixed it for then. And now I have had a new battery installed jst a few days ago and this is flashing again. :-(
  10. how much roughly are performance filters and what are they like? which is best induction or filter? See the pro-lex induction kit isnt that an open setup? i heard about an enclosed 1, is it possible to get an enclosed induction kit for the is200?
  11. i wanted to ask how often do you need to do maintenance or if any to the induction kit such as oil or air filter replacements? and is it straight forward? Is pro-Lex stuff good? i have found pipecross they any gud? it looks similar to pro-lexs style, its on ebay, just type in the search 'Pipercross Induction Kit Lexus IS200 VVTI' and it will come up. also i wanted to ask is there any nice things i could add inside the bonet to cover up the stuff as ive noticed pics that once u have the induction on you cant put the original/normal lexus engine cover etc back on or am i wrong?
  12. Thanx guys! :) i have PM'd pro-lex i hope his stuff is gud
  13. Hi, I am looking to get an induction kit fitted to my IS200 SE Auto - 2000 model. Can anyone recommend any good induction kits to get and any links etc? And also is it safe to get one put on? Do i need to get an enclosed set? someone was telling me to get the enclosed one. Could anyone guide me in the right direction on the right stuff to get so i dont mess anything up and so that it is also good quality stuff, doesnt have to be top of the range but just something decent. P.S: are dumps valves easy to install and is it just for that cool noise? or does it add a lil performance? Thanks
  14. if its the left hand side of the car (which is the front passenger side) then it should be ok. happened to mine as well, the plastic cover is there to protect your pipes an etc from mud, dirt, etc. but on the left handside there is nothing much there need protecting, the main stuff is on the right hand side so should be ok. *again any pro's here then feel free to correct me* im just telling you as the best i know as i have had the similar thing.
