  1. White is just screaming for an Altezza upgrade!
  2. I guess with a name like that, any pms and stufff get auto spam deleted on the email front :)
  3. Congrats on joinging the Lexus experience!
  4. Hiya folks, After a long hiatus, thought I check back to see how everyone is doing. Its time for me first 10K service on the IS250, and I'm wondering if its better to pay service per service or to ask for a pre service payment service Anyone with any experience or thoughts on this?
  5. the best answer i can say is to go down to yoru local dealer and play with it. on..off.on off...boot open, boot close, lights switch on at night, etc....its brilliant!
  6. Well, the other consideration is what is teh road conditiosn like in slovakia for the sports version
  7. dose up on loratadine (non sleepy anti hayfever meds) , take regular cold showers, drink plenty. Enjoy the free show that women portray in skimy summer outfits :)...that'll take your mind off stuff!
  8. 7k on the clock, SE black + MMedia + automatic, had the car since Nov 05. NO rattle for 7 months. started some occasional rattle if i press my left leg against the main board but overall very/hyper quiet (which is why you can hear occasional plastic squeak or even the tread on your wheels :)) and lovely at high speeds!
  9. Now that is bllooming useful. I'm going to try it out now. :)
  10. I';ve driven 3500 miles...over 6 months and intiially I had 2 small stone chips, then i decided to profesionally seal and polish the car 4-6 times... have maybe 1 minor chip. I do try to drive far from lorries, and speeding cars in front..though
  11. i have the same problem on my is250SE....but it comes and goes so quickly, when its on 20 degrees. The halford can spray trick is good. My pollen filter is clean so i reckon its all that rain we're having
  12. that'll be low beam and fogs on for me please
  13. Love the New IS to bits. Sentimental about old 99 IS200 but the upgrade in all departments is def the best. Feels like going forwards in the Lex direction
  14. it was probably me. was heading up Narf
  15. light to moderate snow in north london for 12 hours this morning
  16. Washing.... Tyres 1/ Wash once 2/ Wash carefully 3/ Wash tyres. Prep with Meguairs Hot Tyre shire. 4/ Protect your alloy with some nice carnuaba wax of own choice Wax on. wax off. the trick to super polishing is in the preparation if the surface is like sand paper, no amoutn of wax will polish it smooth Hence, 1/ Wash once (water) 2/ Wash with car shampoo (use a natural mitt) 3/ Dry with a good chamois or synthetic one 4/ prep the surface clean with CLEAN claybar + product 5/ wax wax wax. Good waxes to use are P21 or Swissol or Meguairs or Zymol. Wax off! Have fun!
  17. Wooah momma. my dentures just flew out of my mouth when i braked (pretty sensistive)
  18. I probably bought the first 30 IS250s in UK. so far running perfectly and smoothly. No rattle, no roll and no teething problems. almost hitting the 3000 mile limit. Auto is smooth (if not possibly becoming smoother) with a nice rev growls from gears 1-4 these days (maybe my foot lies a bit accelerator heavy these days, compared to the first weeks of driving like a nun :)
  19. Well- right now, am flogging the 250 on certain straight stretches of roads, although with the missus having gone over a few MASSIVE pot holes in Acton, wonder how the suspension/geometry is holding up (whilst trying to maintain a good clean car). might precautionarly go over to dr bones for a geometry in early spring.. next trip tintagel for some semi long cruising/rallying
  20. dang - love the lower lip conversion. How the heck do we get it over here
  21. for black IS250s, best to only wash by hand or a valeter.
  22. have done 2780 miles on mine over 4 months. Still love it and keep it as brand as new. Just love to press the accelerator down on a quiet stretch of road (now to upgrade to prolex HIDs...heh hehe) I'm trying darn hard to rid the DVD nanny changer. (have seen so many keved up cars - SUVs, BMWs, VWs with internal DVDs playing whilst driving or watching the news....on the north circular road already) Someone pls tell us an alternative without resorting to splicing wires or chipping it. SE phones work the best unfortunately with the Lexi250
