  1. OMG….😱 Really? And there was me thinking Lexus/Toyota made everything from the carpets to the screen wash and oil. 🤔
  2. I know, no concerns about the rating or quality, it was just I was trying to keep originality.
  3. Has anybody who has replaced the battery in their RC-F or GS-F managed to obtain a Lexus battery? Mine has been on its way out for sometime so I ordered one from Lexus Parts Direct and a Toyota equivalent has turned up. I know that this is common practice by Lexus dealers but I was very much hoping to replace the original Lexus battery with the same Lexus battery.
  4. I’ve read that it’s gross profit, but can’t find the source of that. Cazoo are one of a number or similar tech companies looking to grow their market share as quickly as possible to cash in on an IPO. There’s a really interesting article here: https://www.standard.co.uk/business/cazoo-spac-shares-ipo-alex-chesterman-b935891.html#comments-area
  5. No way. How would you pay for all of your business overheads out of £143 profit per car? Let alone people’s wages as well.
  6. No it shouldn’t lift. Is this towards the back (nearest the windscreen)? if so there are usually a couple of hooks at the back of bonnets make sure those are there and working properly
  7. Unlikely you will be able to get to it from the wheel arch as the bumper sits over the rear valance and side quarters. If you release the bumper at the bottom (will need to support on axle stands) then you may be able to get your hand up to the back of the sensor. However a lot of manufacturers, including Toyota/Lexus fit polystyrene between the plastic bumper and the metal reinforcer to absorb energy in low speed impacts which may hinder your access.
  8. You’re main concern when buying a car is what other people will think about it? *weird*
  9. Agreed your wasting your time looking at an RC considering your car history.
  10. That’s not ‘quality cover’ that’s just a cheap premium. You will find out what their quality is like If you ever have to claim.
  11. Nice looking seats (contrasting leather) in that RCF
  12. Interesting that there are currently more LC’s listed for sale on Autotrader than there are RCF’s
  13. This can help https://media.lexus.co.uk/category/corporate/sales-figures/lexus-sales-figures/ But unfortunately the RC’s are all grouped together. However if you deduct the number of RC300H’s from the total RC’s this will give you a total of 380 RC-F’s and RC200T’s. Not going to be many RC200T’s in that number 😎
  14. Did they all manage to leave ok without the help of recovery services? 😁
  15. Hi and Welcome. Not so many people have taken the plunge and modified their F’s this side of the pond so you may need to take a look at the US forums. It’s not so clear to me what you are looking to achieve with any suspension mods, is it just styling or some improvement to handling? If so in which situations are you finding the handling lacking.
  16. Really? Well you learn something everyday. There was me thinking it was usually caused by roadside kerbs.
  17. I’m in a similar situation, which became more apparent recently when I took it for its service and when checking the book realised I’d done just under 1000miles in a year. Although it seems a shame I can justify it in a petrolheads way that I have a young son (1.5yrs) another little one on the way so not much spare time and also suffer from carowner virus 😂 So for now it will be staying. One thing I used to enjoy was going for a blast later at night towards the end of the week after a long week at work. Maybe worth a try to rekindle some of your enthusiasm.
  18. Lexus Ipswich are up and running as well. Had mine serviced today and took a courtesy car away for the day. My car was cleaned and sanitised inside on collection as well. Can you believe there was another customers blue RCF in the car park as well when I turned up (like buses). Not sure if it was anybody’s on here, noticed a personal reg and front splitter fitted.
  19. I’ve seen this labelling a few times on Lexus websites and even though to most ‘W/O’ would mean ‘without’ I believe in these cases it may mean ‘with optional’
  20. Now here’s a novel idea, why don’t insurance companies offer to cover the difference in current market rate of the car vs. any finance shortfall as part of the standard insurance policy. I’m sure it could be a USP. But I guess that would detract from the profits you make selling additional policies 🙄
  21. Yes, Lexus GAP insurance is not very competitive at all. I would also recommend looking at ALA insurance for GAP. There is a discount code available for gold members, Enjoy your new car !
  22. Interesting. Are they known to be reliable? Generally not, there are lots of stories out there of people having to have Tein shocks rebuilt at relatively low mileages.
